Big news from the Moto2 paddock: Maximo Quiles has officially found his teammate for the 2027 season: Celestino Vietti. The 25-year-old Italian will join CFMOTO Aspar Team, adding firepower to an already ambitious lineup.
The announcement was made by team boss Jorge Martinez 'Aspar', who didn't hide his excitement. “With the arrival of Celestino Vietti, we are completing a very strong team for the 2027 Moto2 season. We are constantly fighting for the top positions with Alonso and Holgado, and we wanted to repeat that next season,” Aspar said in an official statement.
For Quiles, this is a logical step after two stellar seasons in Moto3. Before the summer break, the rider from Murcia had amassed nine wins and 19 podiums from 29 races, leading the championship by 104 points. Now, he moves up to the intermediate class with Aspar, a team that feels like family.

Vietti is no stranger to success. The 2022 Moto2 runner-up brings a wealth of experience, with multiple wins and podiums. This season, with MB Conveyors SpeedRS, he has shown he's still fast, taking pole at the Catalan GP with a new lap record.
Interestingly, the move also brings a significant technical change. Vietti will return to Kalex machinery after two seasons on a Boscoscuro. He's eager to start: “This is a great challenge. I'll give everything to fight for the title,” he said with enthusiasm.
With the Quiles-Vietti duo, Aspar is clearly serious. The blend of young talent and seasoned experience could be the key to conquering Moto2. The big question: can they gel and overcome the fierce competition? 2027 will tell.
