Heading into the tense race weekend at the Interlagos circuit, McLaren emerged as the only team on the grid to introduce technical upgrades, inadvertently offering an early peek into their development direction for next season's campaign.
The Woking-based outfit brought four updated parts to the track, featuring a completely redesigned front wing, a new rear wing assembly, an adjusted beam wing, and subtle tweaks to the floor geometry. This aggressive stance highlights the squad's determination to maximize performance while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
“The aim was to improve the car now and help us in our fight,” stated Peter Prodromou, explaining the rationale behind deploying the fresh aerodynamic parts in the middle of a high-stakes championship battle.

The most noticeable revision lies in the front wing architecture, where the lower main section now blends more fluidly into the vertical endplate foot. This geometric alteration is engineered to make the aerodynamic element less sensitive to ground clearance variations, ensuring more predictable grip delivery through high-speed turns.
Meanwhile, star driver Lando Norris—who secured pole position in commanding fashion—emphasized the delicate balancing act the team faces as they juggle immediate championship ambitions with future technical preparations.
