Max Verstappen once again proved his supreme class on the tricky asphalt of Sepang during the unusual Bahrain Grand Prix held away from the Middle East. As the lights went out amidst challenging weather conditions, the reigning champion immediately made the crucial difference to command the race.
This victory holds immense significance for Red Bull, who not only ended their winless drought but also triumphantly established themselves as an independent power unit manufacturer. Achieving this milestone in just 16 races puts them right alongside established engine giants like Ferrari and Mercedes.
Meanwhile, the Sepang tarmac witnessed the growing maturity of Kimi Antonelli. The Italian prodigy launched brilliantly from third on the grid and relentlessly pressured Verstappen before comfortably claiming second place to extend his championship lead.

There was plenty to smile about in the red corner too. Despite dropping down the order early on, Lewis Hamilton produced a masterclass drive to carve through the field from 17th and secure a stunning final podium spot for Ferrari.
