The racing action at the Lusail International Circuit delivered pure drama as Marco Bezzecchi put on a masterclass to secure a dominant victory in the main Grand Prix of the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar. The Aprilia Racing standout controlled the 22-lap contest from start to finish to claim his sixth Grand Prix victory of the season, pushing the championship battle to the next round.
When the lights went out, Marco Bezzecchi executed a flawless launch from pole position. The Italian instantly shut the door on Marc Marquez, allowing Raul Fernandez to capitalize and snatch second place through the second corner as fierce battles erupted behind the leaders.
In the opening phase, Marco Bezzecchi immediately hammered out a gap at the front. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez found himself under intense pressure from chasing rivals, briefly dropping to fourth behind Pedro Acosta by lap three.
However, Marc Marquez mounted a strong recovery. The Ducati Lenovo Team star reclaimed third place from Pedro Acosta on lap six and immediately set his sights on hunting down Raul Fernandez for the runner-up spot.
Despite Marc Marquez setting a blistering new lap record of 1:52.558 on lap 13, Marco Bezzecchi maintained his composure and relentless pace out front, cruising safely across the finish line to secure maximum points.
