Marco Bezzecchi has been ruled out of the remainder of the 2026 German MotoGP weekend after suffering a fractured left collarbone in a Q2 crash at the Sachsenring.
The Aprilia Racing rider was thrown from his motorcycle at Turn 7 before sliding at high speed into the gravel trap. The accident immediately ended his qualifying programme.
Bezzecchi was able to stand and walk after receiving initial medical assistance at the scene. However, he was subsequently taken to the circuit Medical Centre for further examination.

X-rays confirmed a fracture to his left collarbone. The injury means Bezzecchi will take no further part in either the Sprint or the German Grand Prix.
Bezzecchi will now return to Italy to undergo surgery. No further information has been provided regarding the expected recovery period or when the number 72 rider may return to competition.
The injury extends a difficult run for Bezzecchi following several disappointing results in recent rounds. His absence also represents a significant setback for Aprilia in the championship fight before the summer break.
