Marc Marquez delivered another masterclass performance to secure a stunning double victory at Motegi, sending a clear warning to his championship rivals.
Lacking the holeshot into turn one against Jorge Martin, the Ducati star opted for a calculated, patient approach following Michelin's late removal of the soft rear tyre option from the race allocation.
Patiently managing the hard rear compound during the early laps, Marquez eventually struck at turn nine to seize control, cruising comfortably to his third grand prix victory in the last four rounds.
As reported by Crash.net, the triumph also marked a historic milestone for Gigi Dall’Igna, who celebrated his 100th victory at the helm of the Italian manufacturer's racing division.
With the gap at the top of the standings now slashed to just two points, attention quickly shifts to the upcoming Indonesian round at Mandalika, a notorious stumbling block where the Spaniard is still chasing his first career grand prix finish.
