Marc Marquez: 10 Races Left and the Path to Title Comeback

Marc Marquez is once again proving his mettle in MotoGP this season. Despite not having the expected start after winning his ninth world championship, the Ducati rider now sits fourth in the standings, 40 points behind current leader Jorge Martin. With 10 rounds remaining—including sprint races—the opportunity to close the gap is still wide open. Could a tenth title be on the horizon?

This season has been a rollercoaster. Marquez has had to fight hard to get back to winning ways, while rivals like Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin have been consistent at the front. However, with 10 Grands Prix left, anything is possible. Looking at the calendar, there are several circuits that could serve as powerful weapons for Marquez to chip away at the points deficit.

One of the most anticipated circuits is MotorLand Aragon. It's Marquez's hunting ground. With six wins and five poles, plus the lap record he set in 2025, Aragon is clearly a prime target for maximum points. Last season, he stood on the top step again, proving he still has that magic touch at this track.

Besides Aragon, Phillip Island also ranks high on his list of favorites. The Australian circuit features many left-hand corners that suit Marquez's riding style. He has collected four wins and five poles there, including a victory the last time MotoGP visited. With such a track record, it wouldn't be surprising to see him dominate in Australia once more.

However, not every circuit will be smooth sailing. There are some tracks that might prove tricky. For instance, Misano—despite Marquez holding the record for most wins there, the circuit has more right-hand corners. Still, he managed to win there last season, so repeating that success is not out of the question. Valencia also falls into the challenging category, as Marquez's performances there have been inconsistent, especially after a crash in the 2023 Valencia GP.

With a mix of favorable circuits and some tough challenges, Marquez still has a strong chance to clinch a tenth title. It will all come down to consistency and seizing the moment. If he can perform at his best on the favorable tracks, the 40-point gap could certainly be erased. The battle towards the season's end is set to be thrilling!
