The lightweight class of the grand prix world championship delivered thrilling drama once again during the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. As the starting lights went out, Maximo Quiles immediately seized control of the race, holding off intense pressure from his closest rivals throughout the 20 demanding laps.
The standout rider from CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team ultimately emerged victorious with an impressive total time of 32 minutes and 36.821 seconds, maintaining an average speed of 158.2 km/h. His relentless consistency on track allowed him to cruise to a dominant victory in front of the enthusiastic grandstands.
The battle for the remaining podium spots provided plenty of action further down the order. Second place went to David Almansa representing Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP, who finished 2.994 seconds behind the winner. Meanwhile, Brian Uriarte of Red Bull KTM Ajo claimed the final step of the podium in third, crossing the line 5.156 seconds adrift.

The top-five battle also featured Matteo Bertelle riding for LEVEL UP - MTA in fourth position, followed closely by Rico Salmela of Red Bull KTM Tech3 who rounded out the top five after a hard-fought contest.
Local fans had plenty to celebrate as Indonesian rising star Veda Pratama delivered a phenomenal performance. Competing for Honda Team Asia, the young talent successfully secured a brilliant sixth-place finish on home soil to cap off an unforgettable weekend.
