M-Sport arrives in Paraguay with one clear mission: to end a season that has so far been a battle. After the previous round in Portugal, the British squad now faces two consecutive gravel events in South America, starting with Rally del Paraguay next week. It's a golden opportunity to improve their standing in the championship.

For Richard Millener, M-Sport team principal, Paraguay is not unfamiliar territory. Last year, when the country hosted a WRC round for the first time, it left a lasting impression. The spectacular opening ceremony and the event's distinctive stages immediately caught everyone's attention.

"We have an exciting few weeks ahead of us, starting with Rally del Paraguay next week. This event impressed us all last year on its debut, and I'm sure it won't fail to impress us again with another stunning opening ceremony and some really interesting competitive stages," Millener said.

For this mission, M-Sport will field three cars. Josh McErlean already has experience on Paraguay's roads from last year, while Jon Armstrong and Romet Jurgenson, competing in a Rally2 car, will have to rely on thorough preparation to compensate for their lack of experience.

Millener believes the knowledge within the team can be pooled to benefit all its crews. This season has offered little to celebrate for M-Sport so far, but Paraguay could be a turning point. "Josh has some solid experience from last year which will bring him a lot of benefit, and Jon and Romet have studied the stages a lot to prepare. As a team, I think we can bring together a lot of knowledge to deliver some strong performances in Paraguay and Chile," he added.

The two consecutive South American events will also be a demanding logistical test for the entire M-Sport operation. Besides cars and equipment, the crews and team personnel will have to cope with the long trip and tight schedule. However, the workload does not dampen Millener's enthusiasm. On the contrary, he is relishing the challenge.

"The next few weeks will demand a lot from everyone, crews and team members alike, but it's such a pleasure to compete on these back-to-back events in South America. Let's see what adventures await us," he concluded.
