Formula 1, Sportrik Media - Reigning world darts champion Luke Littler will appear at the 2026 British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit, taking part in a special event titled A Night of the Darts during the race weekend.
The exhibition will take place on Sunday evening after the Formula 1 race and will feature several prominent darts players. Alongside Littler, the event will include appearances from Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, and Fallon Sherrock.
The darts showcase will be staged at Silverstone’s BOXPARK trackside fan park as part of a collaboration with darts media platform DartsWorld and sports promoter MODUS.
The addition of the darts event forms part of Silverstone’s broader effort to enhance the fan experience during the British Grand Prix weekend. Earlier announcements also confirmed that international DJ David Guetta will headline the music entertainment programme during the July 2–5 race event.
Silverstone Chief Commercial Officer Nick Read said the initiative reflects the venue’s ambition to expand the entertainment offering around one of the UK’s largest sporting events.
“We’re always looking for new ways to elevate the fan experience, and this announcement reflects exactly that ambition.”
“The British Grand Prix is already one of the biggest weekends on the UK sporting calendar, and bringing a world-class darts spectacle to Silverstone adds a new level of drama and atmosphere.”
According to Read, the concept allows spectators to experience two major sports within the same event ticket.
“Fans can enjoy two major sports in one ticketed experience, creating a one-of-a-kind day both on and off the circuit.”
“It’s about delivering more excitement, more entertainment, and even greater value for everyone who joins us.”
Dutch darts star Michael van Gerwen also expressed enthusiasm about performing in front of the large crowd expected at Silverstone.
“This is exactly the sort of night I live for — big crowd, big noise, big occasion.”
“Put darts in the middle of a place like Silverstone and you know it’s going to be loud, intense, and full of energy.”
Van Gerwen added that while the event will entertain fans during the grand prix weekend, the competitive spirit of darts remains unchanged.
“We’re coming there to entertain, but make no mistake — once I’m on that stage, I want to win.”
With the addition of music concerts and a major darts exhibition, the 2026 British Grand Prix weekend aims to offer a broader entertainment experience for Formula 1 fans attending the event at Silverstone.
