The GoEleven Ducati World Superbike team has officially confirmed that Lorenzo Baldassarri will remain with the squad for the upcoming 2027 racing season.
The former grand prix rider joined the satellite Ducati setup this season after dropping off the WorldSBK grid at the end of 2023 following a tough campaign aboard a Yamaha. His career trajectory then saw him drop back to World Supersport in 2024, before transitioning to MotoE within the MotoGP paddock for the 2026 season.
Selected to replace former premier class race winner Andrea Iannone at GoEleven, Baldassarri immediately impressed the paddock by securing two solid podium finishes through consistent speed and steady racecraft.

"I am really happy to renew with Team GoEleven; we had to wait a little while to finalise the last details, but I’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time," Baldassarri said regarding his multi-year continuity.
He emphasized that keeping project continuity is vital, noting that the current season has been fantastic, allowing him to consistently run fast and steady after recovering from a difficult period lacking confidence and results following numerous category changes.
"Big challenges ahead; we now have a solid baseline for every track, so we’ll arrive ready at every weekend. I can’t wait to start another year together," he added enthusiastically.
Prior to locking in their line-up, GoEleven had been heavily linked with a potential blockbuster move for Yamaha MotoGP rider Alex Rins for the 2027 WorldSBK campaign. However, the Spanish rider recently announced his impending retirement from motorcycle racing, hinting strongly at a future switch to four-wheel car racing.
Team principal Denis Sacchetti expressed absolute delight in securing their rider for the long term, noting that exploring other options simply did not align with the strong harmony built inside the garage.
"The feeling we’ve built with Balda this year is fantastic; the harmony within the garage and our mutual trust in the work we do are the key ingredients that led us to firmly believe in continuing this partnership; anything else wouldn’t have made sense," Sacchetti stated.
Sacchetti praised the immediate impact made by his rider from the opening round and believes that adding another full year of valuable experience will unlock an even more exciting competitive level for their 2027 championship assault.
