Hamilton Introduces New Puppy Halo During Summer Break

Lewis Hamilton has finally introduced the newest member of his family to the world. During the Formula 1 summer break, the Ferrari driver shared his first photos and videos with Halo, an adorable golden retriever puppy.

Halo's arrival comes as a soothing presence after Lewis Hamilton endured a demanding first half of the 2026 season. His maiden victory with Ferrari at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix and a string of podiums proved his resurgence, but this personal moment with Halo feels more intimate and heartwarming.

Hamilton got Halo from Goldiva Goldens, a US-based breeder. The adoption was confirmed by the breeder on social media, complete with a photo of Halo wearing a racing helmet. "We're excited to fly Ms Halo to Los Angeles to Formula 1 Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton," Goldiva Goldens posted. Dog trainer Kirstin McMillian, a three-generation animal trainer, flew to Maine to pick up Halo.

McMillian is no stranger to Hamilton. She has worked extensively with Hamilton's previous dogs, including Roscoe, the fan-favourite English bulldog who sadly passed away in 2025. Halo's presence certainly fills the void left by Roscoe.

It remains unconfirmed whether Halo will join Hamilton at Grand Prix weekends. If she does travel to the races, she would join Charles Leclerc's famous long-haired dachshund, Leo. Imagine those two cute dogs running around the paddock!

The news of Halo's arrival had already spread through Goldiva Goldens' post and her appearance in one of Kim Kardashian's posts. Only now has Hamilton himself shown Halo on his own social media. He posted a carousel of photos and videos from his break, including a video of him playing with Halo and a couple of photos posing with her.

At the time of writing, the post has already received 1.7 million likes and over 20,000 shares on Instagram. Goldiva Goldens commented, "Glad you're getting some quality time with your pup. Stinky puppy breath is wonderful. Halo's sister Danica starts training next week. She will be Goldiva's Grand Prix."

Meanwhile, Ferrari and Hamilton are still chasing the championship lead. Hamilton currently sits second in the standings, 50 points behind leader Kimi Antonelli. This break might be the perfect time to recharge before a crucial second half of the season.
