Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton has officially released an eight-minute documentary detailing the meticulous restoration process of his iconic Ferrari F40. According to FormulaPassion, the seven-time world champion shared the deeply personal story of how he brought back to life a rare automotive masterpiece that had remained tucked away in a garage for over thirty years.
The journey began when Lewis Hamilton acquired a very special Ferrari F40 sporting a mere 69 kilometers on the odometer. The legendary sports car had been kept by its previous owner in pristine isolation before the British driver entrusted it to the expert mechanics in Maranello for a comprehensive, ground-up restoration.
Excitement reached a fever pitch during the Italian Grand Prix weekend in early September when Lewis Hamilton arrived at the Monza circuit driving the F40 himself. Sporting a unique outfit tailored for the occasion, he immediately captured the attention of photographers and media personnel swarming the historic Italian venue.
Following his arrival in the paddock, he drove out to the legendary Curva Parabolica for a dedicated photo shoot to commemorate the special event. These captivating moments and the comprehensive revival journey have now been compiled into an eight-minute documentary shared across his official social media channels.
Throughout the footage, Lewis Hamilton's genuine emotion is palpable as he gets behind the wheel for the very first time, driving the machine that the acclaimed Formula 1 driver openly considers to be the most beautiful car ever built.
