Great news from the Australian Rally Championship (ARC) scene. Lewis Bates, the current ARC championship leader, has been officially confirmed to take part in the ARC Festival during the Adelaide Grand Final this November. Lewis will join his brother, Harry Bates, who is also his teammate at Toyota Gazoo Racing.

The ARC Festival is set to be a highlight as it will be held for the first time in the Victoria Park area of Adelaide, with a temporary course built right in front of the famous heritage grandstand. The format will mimic a Race of Champions style, where the fastest rally crews in the country will compete in a more competitive and entertaining atmosphere.

Lewis himself expressed his excitement about the opportunity. "I am thrilled to be able to feature in the Australian Rally Championship Festival as it’s a hugely exciting opportunity – not just from a rally driver perspective, but from someone in the motorsport industry as a whole," he said. "The BP Adelaide Grand Final is one of the biggest events on the Australian sporting calendar and to be able to represent Toyota along with Harry and showcase what the Australian Rally Championship is all about is an honour."

Lewis's participation is undoubtedly backed by his impressive form this season. After winning the latest round in Tasmania, Lewis and co-driver Anthony McLoughlin jumped to the top of the standings. That victory was particularly sweet as it came amid drama, with Harry forced to retire due to a crash at the end of the rally.

Meanwhile, John Pappas, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations at Toyota Australia, emphasized the importance of Toyota Gazoo Racing's continued investment in motorsport. "Through Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia, we continue to invest in motorsport as part of our commitment to developing ever-better cars and showcasing the performance capabilities of our vehicles," Pappas said. "The Australian Rally Championship Festival is a fantastic opportunity to introduce rally and the GR Yaris to a broader audience, and we’re proud to have Harry and Lewis Bates representing Toyota on such a significant stage for Australian motorsport."

With two Toyotas now locked in, further entries, scheduling, and formats will continue to be announced in the lead-up to the event, which runs from November 26-29. Australian rally fans are surely eager to see the Bates brothers in action on this unique course.
