Leo Pichler delivered a stellar performance to secure his maiden pole position in the ADAC GT Masters at the Hockenheimring. Driving the Porsche 911 GT3 R fielded by the razoon ā more than racing team, the Austrian driver mastered the tricky conditions to top the timesheets.
The qualifying session took place on a drying track surface, meaning the asphalt became faster with every single lap. Several teams made the crucial tactical gamble to switch to slick tires midway through the session as the racing line offered increasingly better grip.
The Eggersdorf-based outfit locked out the front row as Mark Kastelic followed closely behind in the second team Porsche. Just 0,126 seconds separated the two stablemates, highlighting the razor-thin margins in the fiercely competitive GT3 championship.

Rounding out the top three positions was Simon Connor Primm at the wheel of the HGL Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3, showing strong pace amidst the changing weather and track evolution.
This thrilling qualifying sets the stage for an intense race weekend ahead, where tire strategy and early-lap battles will prove decisive for the championship contenders.
