The international junior single-seater landscape is set to welcome a historic milestone as Keanu Al Azhari prepares to graduate into the FIA Formula 3 Championship for the 2027 season with the British outfit Hitech.
The 18-year-old Emirati driver earned his well-deserved promotion following a series of standout campaigns across multiple competitive junior categories, ranging from GB3 to his triumphant run in the Eurocup-3 Spanish Winter Championship where he clinched the title earlier this year. His impressive trajectory continued into the core Eurocup-3 championship, positioning himself firmly inside the top three of the standings during an ongoing season.
This landmark progression marks a proud moment for his homeland. Reflecting on the monumental announcement, the young charger shared his deep sense of honor regarding his upcoming journey in the high-profile feeder series.
"I am proud and honored to continue my journey with my Hitech family as we take the leap together into the 2027 FIA Formula 3 Championship. Becoming the first driver from the United Arab Emirates to compete in FIA Formula 3 is a milestone that I experience with immense pride. Representing my nation at this level is the greatest of honors and I am grateful for the support I receive from the UAE. I hope this path inspires the next generation of drivers from our region to dream without limits," stated Keanu Al Azhari.
The team management echoed the sentiment with high praise for his racecraft and adaptability. Hitech Team Manager Paul Bellringer highlighted the direct correlation between his previous junior performances and the readiness to tackle the rigorous demands of the FIA Formula 3 grid.
