Jorge Martin revealed a tense moment he experienced on the track when his visor condition was disrupted by sweat and water leaking inside. The situation severely limited his vision right up until the final lap of a high-stakes premier class race session.
The Spanish rider explained that initially he could still see Raul Fernandez right behind him with a very close gap during the intense position battle. However, the situation suddenly changed and left him wondering what was happening further back on the grid.
"At first they were behind me. Raul Fernandez was about two tenths of a second behind. Then suddenly the gap became huge. I thought, 'What happened?" recalled the world champion regarding the confusing track developments.

The next technical problem arose when sweat and water began flowing into the interior of his helmet visor. Martin stated that the liquid severely impaired his vision, especially since he could not clean the inside of the visor while maintaining high-speed control on the bike.
"With the sweat, under braking, the water flows to the front. Inside the visor I couldn't see anything at all," complained the premier MotoGP rider regarding the visual obstruction that hindered his pace.
This condition made things increasingly difficult as his awareness of the racing line and nearby competitors was heavily impacted. He described the harrowing scenario as a moment that brought him close to panic.
"I was very scared," Martin openly admitted when describing the anxiety of braking a racing motorcycle without proper visibility.
Despite facing severe visibility issues, Martin managed to survive until the final lap before things tightened up dramatically toward the checkered flag. The experience highlighted how he had to manage physical and equipment hurdles until the very end.
"Last lap. Very close, very close," he concluded, emphasizing how razor-thin his margin for error was at the end of the race.
This extreme experience proves that beyond fierce on-track battles, minor helmet equipment issues can become critical factors threatening rider safety when racing conditions shift rapidly. Martin will take this evaluation forward as he prepares for the next round on the calendar.
