Pedro Acosta saw his high hopes at the Japanese Grand Prix dashed almost instantly when the Sprint race at Motegi ended abruptly before completing even a single lap.
The young Spaniard expressed his frustration after an overly ambitious braking maneuver by Alex Marquez at turn three triggered a multi-rider collision that also collected Fabio Di Giannantonio.
Race control quickly handed down a double long lap penalty to Marquez for Sunday's main grand prix, acknowledging the severity of the misjudgment at the early stages of the race.

Despite the premature exit robbing him of valuable track time, Acosta immediately shifted his mindset toward Sunday's strategy while analyzing potential tire degradation data.
KTM remains optimistic regarding their race pace and tire management for the upcoming full-distance race, leaning toward the medium rear compound to secure a competitive finish.
