Jack Miller is gearing up for an emotional weekend at Phillip Island as he prepares for his final home grand prix appearance in the MotoGP world championship before making a switch to WorldSBK next season. While the 31-year-old may not have matched the title success of past Australian greats like Casey Stoner, Mick Doohan, or Wayne Gardner, his gritty attitude has captured the hearts of motorsport fans globally.
Miller's history at the iconic circuit features unforgettable milestones, highlighted by his sensational Moto3 victory back in 2014 and a stellar third-place finish with Pramac in 2019. His profound impact on the venue was officially cemented in 2022 when Turn 4 was formally named Miller Corner. As the premier class prepares for what could be its final outing at the historic Australian venue, the stakes and emotions are exceptionally high.
“I‘m really looking forward to my home grand prix,” Jack Miller stated ahead of the weekend. “It‘s going to be a special weekend for both myself and the team, as it will be my last home race in MotoGP before moving to Superbikes, and also the last time MotoGP races at Phillip Island.”

“This place has given me some great memories, so it‘s going to be an emotional one. We‘ve got something special planned for the fans, and I‘m looking forward to sharing it with everyone and making the most of this weekend,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Pramac Yamaha squad faces a shake-up in the garage as Toprak Razgatlioglu is forced to sit out the remainder of the campaign following a shoulder injury sustained at Mandalika. Stepping into the void is Augusto Fernandez, who joins Miller under the tent. “It‘s a shame Toprak won‘t be able to join us this weekend,” Jack Miller noted regarding his sidelined teammate. “I know he was looking forward to riding here, so I wish him all the best with the surgery and recovery. Hopefully, he‘ll be back feeling strong soon.”
For Augusto Fernandez, the weekend marks a welcome return to action since his wildcard appearance at Silverstone. “First of all, I want to send my best wishes to Toprak for his recovery,” said Augusto Fernandez. “I hope everything goes well with the surgery and that he can get back on the bike as soon as possible. For me, it‘s really exciting to be back racing, especially with a great team like Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP.”
