Ahead of his final home Grand Prix appearance, Jack Miller humorously reflected on the unique comedic legacy he will leave behind in the paddock. The Australian rider is preparing for his upcoming switch to the WorldSBK championship next season, bringing a close to an impressive 12-year stint in the premier class. When asked about which rider might inherit his unofficial title as the paddock comedian, he offered a characteristically lighthearted response.
I don’t know if anyone wants to take that role! It's like a class clown, smiled Miller, who recently delighted fans with a memorable two-up stoppie giving Alex Rins a taxi ride back to the pits in Motegi. It's just a long list of what not to do... Somebody will come through and step up!
Regardless of whether he considers himself lucky to have endured a dozen years at the top level, Miller secured four race victories and stood on the podium 23 times while racing for Honda, Ducati, and KTM machinery. Although most of his rivals will bid farewell to the iconic Phillip Island layout this weekend, his move to WorldSBK means an eventual return for the 2027 season opener.

Emotions are naturally running high as he revisits memories that trace back to his first-ever appearance at the historic venue aboard a 125cc machine in 2009. This place is phenomenal and on a MotoGP bike riding around here, it's something particular, Miller explained, detailing the physical challenge of dancing with the motorcycle against the coastal winds and heavy shaking.
With changeable weather forecast for the race weekend, rain is widely anticipated to become a crucial ally for the Pramac Yamaha rider as he looks to maximize his performance on Sunday. Never losing his trademark wit, Miller confirmed he is fully prepared to roll the dice one last time in front of his passionate home supporters.
