Izan Guevara set the fastest time in Practice for the 2026 German Moto2 round at the Sachsenring, recording a 1m22.260s for BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2.
Guevara led a closely contested session by only 0.036 seconds over Ivan Ortola. David Alonso finished third, 0.215 seconds behind, while Senna Agius and Manuel Gonzalez completed the top five.
Mario Suryo Aji ended Practice in 13th for Idemitsu Honda Team Asia. The Indonesian rider recorded a 1m22.977s, finishing 0.717 seconds behind Guevara.

Aji was only 0.040 seconds slower than 12th-placed Daniel Holgado. He also finished 0.030 seconds ahead of Collin Veijer and Jose Antonio Rueda, who set identical lap times in 14th and 15th.
Aji’s team-mate Taiyo Furusato placed 10th, 0.616 seconds behind the fastest lap. The result put both Honda Team Asia riders inside the leading 13 positions during the dry session.
Practice took place with an ambient temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and a track temperature of 43 degrees. The order at the front remained tightly compressed, with the leading five riders separated by only 0.307 seconds.
Friday’s result established Guevara as the benchmark heading into the next session, while Aji carried competitive momentum after completing Practice less than eight tenths away from the leader.
