Red Bull Racing driver Isack Hadjar vented his extreme frustration after a series of mechanical gremlins completely ruined his Saturday at the Singapore Grand Prix, leaving him stranded at the back of the grid for Sunday's Formula 1 race.
A track limits violation initially forced the young driver to start the sprint from ninth place on the grid, but his race lasted a mere two laps before a sudden power unit failure forced an immediate retirement.
The Austrian squad managed to patch up the RB22 machine just in time for the main grand prix qualifying session. However, a broken fourth gear shattered any hopes of setting a competitive time, dumping him out in Q1 without a single timed lap on the board.

This disastrous outing extends a painful streak of reliability issues for the 22-year-old driver. Just last weekend at Sepang, a late battery failure cruelly dropped him down to a fifth-place finish.
"It's pissing me off because I just want to drive," said Isack Hadjar. "I just want to get to it and go new tyre after new tyre, and now I don't get to do that. I'm stuck in... yeah, I'm just really, really pissed off."
His sprint race retirement drew intense online scrutiny when he slid straight into the Turn 5 escape road, parking dangerously close to the Marina Bay paddock entrance while smoke and flames briefly licked at his stricken chassis.
The stark contrast within the garage is magnified by the stellar form of his teammate Max Verstappen, who continues to extract maximum performance from the RB22 by securing pole positions and race wins.
