Hamilton and Leclerc Cause Chaos on Instagram Ahead of Singapore GP

Ahead of the race weekend, the atmosphere within the Ferrari camp took a surprisingly hilarious turn. As reported by Motorsport.com, the Italian team's official social media accounts descended into chaos after drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc temporarily took over the organisation's Instagram page.

The light-hearted takeover began when the Maranello outfit's iconic prancing horse profile picture was suddenly swapped out for a candid close-up selfie. From there, the feed was flooded with playful behind-the-scenes content that completely bypassed traditional PR filters. Fans were treated to a selfie of Leclerc asking for their opinions on his hair, a garage and hospitality area tour led by Hamilton, and hilarious videos of both drivers interrupting official team meetings while trying out funny filters on one another.

As the lighthearted antics peaked, Ferrari shared a brilliant, tongue-in-cheek statement addressing the sudden digital disruption in a famously corporate yet humorous tone.

"Scuderia Ferrari HP confirms that, over the past two hours, two individuals within the organisation gained unauthorised control of our social media channels," the team humorously stated. "During this period, a series of highly questionable editorial decisions were made, including changes to our profile picture and the publication of content that did not undergo our standard approval procedures. We can confirm that the two suspects have been identified and the situation has now been contained. Full control of our accounts has been restored. We thank our fans for their understanding during this unprecedented incident."

The stunt was an absolute roaring success among the fanbase, with many flooding the comments section to demand weekly takeovers. Amidst the social media fun, both drivers remain focused on the serious business on track heading into the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. Hamilton currently sits third in the drivers' standings with 214 points, closely followed by Leclerc in fourth place with 191 points.
