Isack Hadjar will sport a special helmet design at the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend. The Red Bull driver from France wants to commemorate his first Formula 1 podium, which happened exactly at Zandvoort last year.
The 2026 Dutch GP marks the final appearance of Zandvoort on the F1 calendar, at least for now. The circuit, which returned in 2021, will be dropped after this season. That makes this race even more emotional, especially for the devoted fans of Max Verstappen, who certainly hope their hero can win at home one last time.
But in the Red Bull camp, Verstappen isn't the only one with a special reason to stand out. Hadjar, who was still racing for Racing Bulls last season, managed to finish third at Zandvoort. That was his first podium in the top class, and he hasn't repeated it since, neither with the Faenza-based team nor after his promotion to Red Bull. In Monaco, he came close, but had to settle for fourth.

The helmet design Hadjar will use this weekend also carries a humorous detail. It references a funny moment during last year's podium ceremony, when the trophy he received broke into two pieces. That little touch serves as a reminder that historic moments don't always go smoothly.
With Zandvoort about to leave the calendar, this race is Hadjar's last chance to achieve a great result at a track that gave him an unforgettable memory. Can he repeat his impressive performance from last year? We'll have to wait and see.
