Action heated up immediately on the circuit as Fabian Schiller secured the fastest time in the second practice session of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup in Portimao. Driving the GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3, the German manufacturer's ace clocked an impressive lap time of 1:42.988 minutes to lock down the top spot.
The battle at the sharp end of the field proved incredibly tight with minimal gaps. Dylan Pereira, piloting the Tresor Attempto Racing Audi, had to settle for second place overall. The Luxembourgish driver fell just 0,096 seconds short of matching Schiller's benchmark time during this crucial session.
Meanwhile, the top three positions were rounded out by a strong performance from Maxime Oosten aboard the Haupt Racing Team Ford Mustang GT3. Teams pushed hard to optimize their vehicle setups ahead of the intense competition scheduled for the upcoming race weekend.

A massive spotlight remained fixed on the Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing garage. The car shared by Max Verstappen alongside teammates Chris Lulham and Ben Barnicoat ultimately clinched fourth place. Chris Lulham put in the car's quickest lap just before the session concluded while utilizing fresh rubber.
On-track proceedings encountered a brief disruption when Mirko Bortolotti's Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Temerario GT3 ground to a halt with technical issues only 15 minutes into the session. Marshals deployed a Full Course Yellow to safely retrieve the stranded machine.
