The Singapore Grand Prix race weekend officially roared into action under the dazzling lights of the Marina Bay Circuit. The opening free practice session immediately delivered intense track action as the green light signalled the start of running.
During the opening ten minutes of the session, the timesheets lit up rapidly. Charles Leclerc showcased strong pace as he hurled his car through the final corner to briefly top the timing charts.
Right behind the Monegasque driver, the battle at the sharp end remained remarkably close with Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton slotting into the provisional top five alongside other competitive contenders.

However, early technical drama struck the unforgiving street circuit. Nico Hulkenberg was forced to park up just outside the pit lane after completing a flying lap, reporting via team radio that he was suffering from gearbox problems.
Further down the order, another driver caught attention when he had to reverse out of the run-off area at Turn 16. Team checks confirmed his brakes were overheating, though fortunately no structural damage was done to the machine.
