“I’m full of emotions and happy for the team. It’s not every day you have a car capable of pole position, and that lap was superb,” said Gasly, who admitted to screaming with joy over the radio. Despite the disappointment of losing his Monaco podium due to an FIA ruling, he is determined to channel his energy into a strong race.

The FIA’s decision to strip Gasly of his third-place finish in Monaco has sparked controversy, especially with Alpine pointing fingers at McLaren. Yet, Gasly prefers to let his driving do the talking. He views the upcoming race as an opportunity to silence critics and turn a painful setback into a triumphant comeback.
“We’ve had a lot of emotions this weekend, some negative, but I tried to focus on qualifying and we got the best possible result. Tomorrow will be a long race, but we have the pace to do well, and I will give everything to win,” he declared with fierce determination.
