Furious Raul Fernandez Blames Marco Bezzecchi for Mandalika Sprint Crash

Raul Fernandez has openly criticized Aprilia stablemate Marco Bezzecchi following their heavy crash at the start of the Mandalika sprint race.

The multi-rider collision occurred at Turn 1 when Fernandez, Bezzecchi, Marc Marquez, and Fabio Di Giannantonio converged deeply into the corner almost side-by-side.

The incident left Fernandez with a fractured left index finger, casting serious doubt on his participation in the main grand prix, though the Spaniard intends to test his physical condition during the warm-up session.

Speaking to international broadcasters, a visibly angry Fernandez did not hold back in his assessment of Bezzecchi's tactics on the opening lap.

"For me, the crash is a consequence of the start. On the start, for me I tried to keep my bike in the middle of the track, to try to not open the door for other riders to overtake," Fernandez stated.

The Aprilia rider expressed deep frustration over what he perceived as a deliberate and ungentlemanly move that compromised his safety and race outcome.

"When you want to do something that is not clean in this sport. We are riders, we put our body on the line at more than 300km/h and when you are doing something that you know that is not really nice, I am not happy with that," he concluded.
