The intense battle at the Dutch Grand Prix isn't just happening on track. In the Zandvoort paddock, Ferrari and McLaren are leading the upgrade war, while Mercedes and Red Bull have brought only minor tweaks.

Ferrari arrives with a new onslaught: five new components for the SF-26. The floor body, floor board, and floor edge have been updated to increase downforce on the tight, twisty circuit nestled in the Dutch dunes. The diffuser and beam wing are also revised with the same goal, focusing on rear airflow quality.

McLaren, this season's powerhouse, is not backing down. The constructors' champions bring another upgrade package following their Hungarian success. At Zandvoort, the MCL40 features a new rear wing assembly, a new engine cover, and a revised rear brake duct. All aimed at improving load performance and flow conditioning, plus better brake cooling.

Interestingly, Mercedes and Red Bull have opted for a conservative approach. Mercedes, the constructors' championship leaders, bring just one update: detaching the front drum lip from the duct inlet to improve flow quality through the full steering range. Red Bull also has a single change, shrinking the lower wishbone rearward leg chord to reduce strain at high steering angles.

Meanwhile, Williams, Racing Bulls, Haas, Audi, and Cadillac have decided against visible upgrades. Only Aston Martin and Alpine are making changes from the lower half of the grid. Aston Martin brings five upgrades, including a new front wing and floor fence, while Alpine lists eight changes across various car areas.

Pierre Gasly will immediately benefit from Alpine's upgrades at Zandvoort, while Franco Colapinto will have to wait until Monza. With the tight competition at the front, these upgrades could be decisive in determining who comes out on top this weekend.
