The unfortunate incident at the Mandalika circuit forced medical staff to conduct immediate checks. Based on the initial diagnosis, the heavy impact during the fall caused significant bone damage to his right hand, requiring advanced medical intervention as soon as possible.
According to FormulaPassion, the premier class motorcycle racing championship organizers confirmed that the key rider for the Gresini Racing squad must depart immediately and fly back to Europe to undergo surgical procedures in the coming hours.

This swift decision to return to Europe was made to ensure optimal recovery. The medical team aims to perform the surgery right after his arrival home, holding onto strong hopes of a speedy recovery so he can potentially compete at Phillip Island in two weeks.
A relentless wave of misfortune has continuously plagued the young Spaniard throughout the 2026 racing calendar. Prior to this setback, he had already missed four main Grands Prix alongside all pre-season testing sessions due to various physical ailments.
