Formula 2 has officially confirmed its calendar for the 2027 season, featuring 14 rounds spanning across Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the Americas. This announcement highlights the continuous global expansion of the premier feeder series to Formula 1, welcoming exciting new venues and iconic returning tracks to the schedule.

The championship will get underway in Sakhir, Bahrain in March, followed immediately by a trip to Jeddah a week later. The young grid will then embark on long-haul journeys to Melbourne and Montreal, the latter returning following its inclusion in the 2026 campaign.

As the season progresses, the European leg kicks off at Monte-Carlo in June. The intensity ramps up in July with a demanding Silverstone and Spielberg double-header, giving teams a brief window before the summer break to reassess their technical strategies and aerodynamic packages.

The major highlights of the 2027 schedule arrive in October as Istanbul and Mexico City join the championship as brand-new additions. Istanbul Park will test the next generation of drivers on its challenging layout before the paddock heads to Latin America. The season will culminate in a dramatic double-header finale in Qatar and Abu Dhabi in December.

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem stated that the calendar reflects the continued strength and global growth of an important championship at the heart of the driver development pathway. "The addition of Istanbul and Mexico City will bring Formula 2 to new audiences and give the next generation of talent the opportunity to compete on an even greater variety of circuits," he added.

Echoing these remarks, Stefano Domenicali emphasized that the 2027 schedule will deliver another thrilling season of racing across 14 rounds at some of the most iconic venues in world motorsport, reaffirming F2's vital role as the ultimate stepping stone.
