Formula 1 has officially announced a massive three-day season launch event in Milan, Italy, set for February 18-20, 2027. Dubbed F1 Live Milan, the event is poised to be the biggest celebration in the sport's history.
The centerpiece will be F1 The Show, taking place on the evening of February 18. This spectacular evening, inspired by the success of F1 75 in London in 2025—which drew 7.5 million live viewers—will bring together all 11 teams, 22 drivers, and a lineup of entertainment and music acts.
The following two days will feature the Milan Fan Festival, packed with activities for fans, though specific details remain under wraps.

The announcement was made by F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, who emphasized that F1 Live Milan represents the sport's ambition to bring fans closer than ever before. He described the event as an immersive experience, not just a ceremony, allowing fans to see their heroes up close and feel the energy, innovation, and emotion that make Formula 1 unique.
Domenicali also highlighted Milan as the perfect host, noting the warm Italian welcome and the city's ability to transform into a Formula 1 festival. He stressed that racing remains the soul of F1, but creating unforgettable experiences is key to reaching new audiences globally.
More details about F1 Live Milan, including the artist lineup and ticket plans, are expected in the coming months, with tickets going on sale later this year.
This move underscores how Formula 1 is expanding beyond the track. With a growing calendar, F1 is now focusing on building emotional connections with fans through grand events like this, choosing Milan as the next stage after London.
