Formula 1 has officially announced a major expansion into arcade gaming. All 22 cars from the 2026 grid will join Hot Wheels Infinite Rush as downloadable content in March 2027. This collaboration involves Milestone and Mattel, and for the first time, officially licensed F1 machinery will be playable in a Hot Wheels video game.
The F1 Car Collection Pack will feature 22 cars recreated directly from their physical die-cast models. All cars will be placed in the top-tier "Speeder" performance class, joining a launch roster of over 150 vehicles. This is a significant step in bridging real-world racing with interactive entertainment.
F1 Chief Commercial Officer Emily Prazer welcomed the crossover. "Our partnership with Mattel and Hot Wheels keeps evolving for our fans, and this latest move gives them the opportunity to race their favourite driver's car in the Hot Wheels Infinite Rush video game," she said. "They can play against friends and family, immersing themselves in the world of F1 and enjoying the speed, competition, and drama of the sport in a whole new format."
Prazer added that the positive response to previous F1 Hot Wheels die-cast cars makes them confident this pack will be hugely popular. "We can't wait to see fans get behind the wheel when the F1 Car Collection Pack launches in March 2027," she added.
Milestone Publishing Director Andrea Loiudice and Mattel Head of Licensed Games Erika Winterholler both highlighted the project as a major bridge between real-world racing authenticity and arcade gaming. This is not just a skin; it's a gameplay experience that combines the speed and competition of F1.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, ROG Xbox Ally, and PC. The F1 Car Collection Pack will be released as paid content in March 2027. This is an opportunity for fans to experience the thrill of driving F1 cars on a virtual track.
