Just weeks after the FIM Endurance World Championship season concluded in the South of France with the 89th edition of the Bol d’Or, championship organizers have officially revealed the calendar for the upcoming 2027 campaign. The decision to retain these legendary venues aims to strengthen the foundations of the prestigious motorcycle endurance racing championship.
Described by new promoter Claude Michy as a stabilization year following his takeover in 2026, the 2027 season will feature the same four iconic locations. Instead of immediate expansion, the primary focus remains heavily centered on consolidation and maximizing event quality to ensure both fans and participating teams receive an optimal competitive experience.
The 2027 campaign will officially kick off at Le Mans for the legendary 24 Heures Motos, scheduled a week earlier than the previous edition, running from April 8–11. From France, the EWC paddock will head straight to Belgium for the 8 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on June 4–5, maintaining its highly popular sprint-style endurance format on the fast Ardennes circuit.
The action then moves overseas to the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours in Japan, set for July 2–4. This historic venue remains a major draw for stars from other disciplines, particularly MotoGP and WorldSBK. Honda's Johann Zarco previously secured back-to-back victories at the Japanese classic, while Yamaha's Jack Miller also narrowly missed out on a Suzuka triumph in recent years.
The 2027 schedule has been meticulously engineered around the MotoGP and WorldSBK calendars to ensure premier class riders can continue making crossover appearances. Speaking to Motorsport Week, Claude Michy noted that Superbike riders could easily come and do one-off appearances. As has been customary since 2022, the championship will conclude with its second grueling 24-hour marathon, the 90th edition of the Bol d’Or at Circuit Paul Ricard.
