Anton De Pasquale secured provisional pole position during a thrilling qualifying session at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500. Driving his Chevrolet Camaro, he delivered a stellar lap time of 1:09.0770 seconds to top the timesheets on the demanding street circuit.
The battle at the sharp end of the grid was intensely close, with Broc Feeney slotting into second place. The Triple Eight Race Engineering driver pushed hard in his Ford Mustang, missing out on the top spot by a razor-thin margin.
Meanwhile, Matt Payne staged a remarkable recovery following earlier engine troubles during Practice 2. The Grove Racing squad managed to turn their fortunes around, allowing him to bounce back strongly and claim third-fastest overall.

Rounding out the top ten shootout contenders were competitive names such as Andre Heimgartner for Brad Jones Racing, alongside Walkinshaw TWG Racing duo Chaz Mostert and Ryan Wood. However, potential drama looms over the Triple Eight garage as Will Brown faces a post-session investigation for alleged impeding.
Further down the order, notable drivers missed the cut for the top ten shootout, including Dick Johnson Racing's Brodie Kostecki who finished in a disappointing eleventh, while Jack Le Brocq could only manage seventeenth for Matt Stone Racing.
