David Alonso claimed pole position for the 2026 Dutch Moto2 Grand Prix after setting a session-best lap of 1:35.236 in Q2 for the CFMOTO Azul Marino Aspar Team.
Alonso finished 0.171 seconds ahead of Alberto Ferrandez, while Izan Guevara completed the front row after ending the session 0.190 seconds off pole. The leading group was tightly matched, with the top five covered by less than 0.210 seconds.
Daniel Munoz continued his strong form after topping Q1 before securing fourth place in Q2. Alonso's team-mate Daniel Holgado completed the top five ahead of Celestino Vietti.

Earlier in Q1, Munoz led the session with a lap of 1:35.742 ahead of Ferrandez and Zonta van den Goorbergh, with all three progressing to Q2. Meanwhile, Jorge Navarro failed to set a representative lap and did not qualify for the second qualifying session.
The qualifying result makes Alonso the favourite heading into Sunday's Moto2 race at Assen, although the narrow margins among the leading riders point to an intense battle from the opening lap.
