Formula 1, Sportrik Media - Broadcaster Sky Sports F1 has confirmed that former American racing driver Danica Patrick will not return to its pundit lineup ahead of the Formula 1 2026 season.
Patrick joined the Sky Sports F1 pundit pool prior to the United States Grand Prix in 2021 and quickly became a familiar presence during races held across the Americas, including events in Canada and Mexico City. Her most recent appearance as part of the broadcast team came during the 2025 United States Grand Prix weekend.
The former IndyCar Series and NASCAR driver also appeared as a contributor in the seventh season of the Netflix documentary series Drive to Survive, which follows the behind-the-scenes storylines of the Formula 1 championship.

According to reports from international media, Patrick has chosen to focus on other projects and therefore will not continue in her role with Sky Sports F1 for the upcoming season.
Despite stepping away from broadcasting duties, Patrick remains one of the most recognisable figures in American motorsport. In 2008 she made history by becoming the first woman to win a race in the IndyCar Series.
Her time as a television pundit also coincided with Formula 1’s rapid growth in the United States, where the championship now hosts three races each season: the United States Grand Prix in Austin, the Miami Grand Prix, and the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
In recent years, Patrick has also attracted criticism for comments made on her podcast that included conspiracy theories. She also chaired a town hall event featuring US vice president JD Vance during the 2024 election cycle when he was running as the vice-presidential candidate alongside Donald Trump.
While Patrick will no longer appear in the broadcast team, the rest of the Sky Sports F1 pundit lineup is expected to remain unchanged for the 2026 season as the broadcaster continues its coverage of the championship.
