A genuinely unique piece of Australian motorsport history is hitting the auction block as a remarkable pickup truck searches for its new owner. The black 2026 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 has been personally driven by three-time Supercars champion and seven-time Bathurst 1000 winner Craig Lowndes as part of its promotional duties under General Motors Australia and New Zealand.
This heavy-duty truck has been completely transformed into a one-of-a-kind tribute celebrating the 30th anniversary of Lowndes' extraordinary 1996 season. Back then, the 22-year-old rising star secured the championship in his very first full-time season before teaming up with fellow legend Greg Murphy to conquer both the Sandown 500 and the prestigious Bathurst 1000.
To commemorate those milestone achievements, the Silverado features exclusive 30th-anniversary detailing alongside personalized registration plates reading CHAMP 96, kindly supplied by Personalised Plates Queensland (PPQ). The successful bidder will also secure a once-off exclusive embroidered 30th anniversary Triple Crown Chevrolet jacket as part of the prized package.

"I have really enjoyed driving the Silverado and watching it evolve into this one-of-one tribute to such an important year in my career," said Craig Lowndes. He emphasized that winning the championship, Sandown, and Bathurst in the same year created unforgettable memories that remain deeply special to him to this day.
Managed by event partner Lloyds Auctions with a zero percent buyer's premium, 100 percent of the proceeds from tonight's bidding will directly support Motorsport Ministries and the vital work they provide for the wider racing community. Upon settlement, Lowndes will personally hand over the vehicle to the new owner and autograph the truck at a location chosen by the buyer.
