Former Red Bull Racing Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner was paid upwards of £100 million following his dismissal from the Milton Keynes-based Formula 1 outfit. The high-profile departure shook the paddock when he was relieved of his duties by the team in July last year.
According to reports from RacingNews365 via corporate disclosures to the UK Companies House, the sheer scale of the severance package required to remove Christian Horner from the hot seat has finally come to light. His sudden dismissal followed closely on the heels of an internal inappropriate behaviour allegation alongside the dwindling competitive performance of the RB21 on track.
Because Christian Horner served as a director for both Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technologies, both corporate entities were legally obligated to compensate him substantially for loss of office. Financial records show that Red Bull Racing paid £33.494 million for his ousting, alongside his annual remuneration of £4.441 million up until his departure.

On the other financial front, Red Bull Technologies had to cough up a staggering £66.988 million in severance, in addition to £9.029 million in directorial remuneration prior to his removal. This unprecedented financial settlement solidified Christian Horner's status as by far the highest-paid managerial member in the team's history.
Despite his abrupt exit from the pit lane, Christian Horner remains keen to re-enter the Formula 1 ecosystem, with the Briton actively exploring potential leadership projects to spearhead a new chapter in his motorsport career.
