Charles Leclerc Delivers Ferrari’s 250th F1 Victory

Charles Leclerc delivered Ferrari its 250th victory in the Formula 1 World Championship by winning the 2026 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

The result marked a historic milestone for the Scuderia, arriving 75 years after Ferrari’s first Formula 1 victory. That breakthrough also came at the British Grand Prix in 1951, when Jose Froilan Gonzalez defeated Juan Manuel Fangio to give Enzo Ferrari’s team its first world championship win.

For Leclerc, the Silverstone result was his first victory in 20 months and the ninth grand prix win of his career. It also gave Ferrari a direct historical link between its first F1 success and one of its most significant modern records at the same venue.

Ferrari is now one of only two constructors to have passed 200 grand prix victories. Its long-time rival, McLaren, sits second on the all-time list with 203 wins as of the 2026 British Grand Prix.

Although Ferrari has now recorded 250 wins as a constructor, Ferrari engines have won 251 grands prix. The additional victory came through Sebastian Vettel’s 2008 Italian Grand Prix success for Toro Rosso, which used customer Ferrari engines.

The scale of dominance among Formula 1’s leading constructors remains clear in the all-time wins table. The top five teams have combined for 835 victories from 1,158 world championship grands prix up to the 2026 British GP, accounting for 72.10 percent of all races held.

The top 10 constructors have collectively won 1,033 of those 1,158 races, representing an 89.20 percent strike rate. Ferrari will now carry that historic milestone into the next Formula 1 round with its place at the top of the all-time wins list further strengthened.
