High drama unfolded on the streets of Surfers Paradise as Broc Feeney stormed to pole position for the 2026 Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500. Piloting his Triple Eight Ford Mustang, the young charger unleashed a blistering 1:11.1369s lap to eclipse his Friday qualifying effort where he had finished second.
Despite encountering a messy lap during his flying run, Chaz Mostert produced a stellar recovery. Surging from fifth all the way up to second place, he finished just 0.1254s shy of the benchmark time behind the wheel of his Walkinshaw TWG Toyota Supra.
Friday afternoon provisional pole sitter Anton De Pasquale was unable to convert his overnight pace into the ultimate prize, having to settle for third position in the Team 18 Chevrolet Camaro.

Further down the order, Brad Jones Racing competitor Andre Heimgartner solidfied fourth place, while Matt Payne slipped from third down to fifth in the Grove Racing Ford Mustang.
The top ten lockout was rounded out by Thomas Randle, Will Brown, Cameron Waters, Kai Allen, and Ryan Wood, with Wood standing as the only driver failing to register a lap time following a kerb strike infringement at the beach chicane. Brown later received a two-place grid penalty for impeding during the session.
