Silverstone, England - Marco Bezzecchi made an immediate statement in Friday afternoon's MotoGP practice at Silverstone, setting a 1m56.280s lap to lead the session by a commanding 0.335s over Raul Fernandez of Trackhouse Aprilia.
The session highlighted Aprilia's strength, with four bikes in the top five. Besides Bezzecchi and Fernandez, Jorge Martin took fourth and Ai Ogura fifth, with Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46 Ducati) splitting them in third.
Notably, Marc Marquez could only manage sixth, 0.733s off the pace, despite his usual strength at Silverstone. His Ducati teammate Pecco Bagnaia struggled even more, ending up 13th and over 1.4s adrift. Ducati's inconsistent performance is a talking point heading into qualifying.

There were no major incidents, but Toprak Razgatlioglu, returning from injury, is still finding his rhythm in 22nd. Alex Marquez, who led FP1, dropped to seventh in FP2.
With Aprilia looking so competitive on this fast circuit, the battle for pole promises to be intense. Can Bezzecchi carry this form into qualifying?
