The prestigious Paris Motor Show 2026 held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center suddenly witnessed an extraordinary and unexpected incident that quickly went viral. A brand new electric van model, the Mercedes VLE finished in a striking bronze color displayed at the manufacturer's booth, was involved in a minor collision caused by two young children.
According to a brief video clip circulating widely on social media platforms, the surprising event took place on Saturday during the penultimate day of the major automotive exhibition. Two youngsters estimated to be no older than 12 years of age managed to climb aboard the displayed vehicle and remarkably managed to turn on the electric van's systems.
The atmosphere at the exhibition stand quickly turned tense when the vehicle suddenly engaged in reverse gear and began moving backwards. Two booth attendants immediately sprinted toward the vehicle and made desperate attempts to stop the moving van, but their frantic efforts were ultimately unsuccessful in preventing the vehicle from hitting the structure behind it.

Ironically, the electric van was parked directly in front of a decorative wall featuring the prominent phrase Redefinir L'Espace, which translates to redefining space. This coincidence led to the young protagonists literally redefining the physical space occupied by the electric minivan through a direct impact against the exhibition wall.
As a result of the unexpected impact, the exhibition wall sustained visible material damage while surrounding attendees remained completely safe. A frustrated booth staff member was captured holding his face in disbelief, while security personnel quickly approached the visibly embarrassed minors as they exited the vehicle.
