Bagnaia Crashes at Silverstone: Double Zero Makes Title Hopes Fade

Francesco Bagnaia ended the British Grand Prix in the most bitter way possible. The Ducati Lenovo rider crashed at Luffield on lap seven, leaving Silverstone with a double zero.

A poor start left Francesco Bagnaia trapped in the lower positions again. He was battling with Toprak Razgatlioglu and Pol Espargaro before losing the front end at the fast corner. The crash came without warning, and the look on Bagnaia's face as he got up said everything about his disbelief.

It was a disastrous weekend for the two-time MotoGP world champion. He struggled from Friday onwards, failing to make Q2 and finishing at the back in the Sprint Race. The main issues were a lack of grip and cornering problems, which meant he was never competitive all weekend.

Bagnaia made no excuses. He admitted that his recovery from right arm surgery has not been as quick as he hoped, and that clearly affected his performance on the Ducati. Still, he remained professional and refused to blame his physical condition entirely.

With two pointless races at Silverstone, Bagnaia's position in the championship is now under serious threat. He must think hard about how to bounce back at the next round, while his rivals are growing in confidence. This could be a turning point, or the start of a bigger problem in his title fight.
