Noale-based manufacturer Aprilia is actively considering the implementation of team orders for the remainder of the Grand Prix season to safeguard its championship ambitions. Following a stellar performance that highlighted the true potential of the RS-GP machine, the Italian factory is eager to prevent internal clashes from stripping away vital world championship points.
The competitive leap was prominently on display at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, where Marco Bezzecchi triumphed in Sunday's Grand Prix. Concurrently, Jorge Martin secured a strong third-place finish in the Saturday Sprint, cementing the factory's status as a formidable force capable of going toe-to-toe with its main rivals.
Technical Director Fabiano Sterlacchini acknowledged that this newfound success introduces unique operational challenges. While management has historically granted riders complete freedom to race one another, past on-track friction has triggered serious internal conversations regarding clearer guidelines and potential team orders moving forward.

Although complete racing freedom remains the baseline for now, Sterlacchini noted that the team might soon need to establish strict protocols without exceptions to protect their overall standings. The primary objective is ensuring that miscommunications or aggressive battles between stablemates do not compromise their ultimate pursuit of the world title.
With five Grand Prix weekends remaining on the calendar, Aprilia faces a pivotal balancing act between preserving sporting spectacle and executing a ruthless championship strategy. Continuous technical updates to the RS-GP combined with calculated tactical decisions will define the closing chapters of their campaign.
