Alpine A110 Gen 3: V-Design Preview at Paris Motor Show

Alpine has unveiled the design direction for the third-generation A110 through an artistic sculpture set to debut at the Paris Motor Show from October 12. The sculpture serves as the first visual teaser, revealing the proportions and spirit of the legendary sports berlinetta in what the French marque calls a contemporary, essential, and sensual interpretation.

Beneath a veil that emphasizes lightness and aerodynamic flow, the new A110 retains its iconic design language: a V-shaped front end, dual light signature, and distinctive side sculpting that balances tension and sensual volumes. Alpine describes this approach as a tribute to the original model's heritage while projecting into the future.

Notably, the sculpture is built on the new APP platform, previously tested in a development prototype at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last summer. This means the design direction is not merely an aesthetic exercise but a representation of the technical architecture that will underpin the next A110's performance.

In terms of proportions, the body line stretches from a shark-nosed front to a low rear, creating a stance Alpine describes as having incomparable elegance. The smooth teardrop-shaped cabin is integrated between four muscular, protruding wheel arches, accentuated by a subtle line that hints at dynamic motion.

This move underscores Alpine's position in the European sportscar landscape, which is shifting toward electrification. The third-generation A110 is expected to preserve the brand's identity in the lightweight berlinetta segment while addressing emission regulations and enthusiast expectations for a pure driving experience. The Paris sculpture signals that Alpine does not intend to sacrifice visual character for new technology.

For motorsport fans, this design direction is also relevant as Alpine remains active in racing, including Formula 1 and WEC. A consistent visual identity between road cars and racing prototypes reinforces the brand's narrative as a manufacturer uniting heritage and innovation.

With the sculpture's debut on October 12, attention now turns to how soon Alpine will reveal the production version. If this design language is retained, the third-generation A110 could become one of the most anticipated sportscars of the decade.
