Alex Rins has left the door open for a return to MotoGP, even though his full-time career is coming to an end. Speaking in the paddock, he said he would consider an offer to become a test rider. “If someone calls me to try a bike, I will consider it,” he said.
Rins is in his final season with Yamaha, just like Fabio Quartararo. He is effectively out of the team's plans for next year. However, the Spanish rider has opened the possibility of remaining involved in MotoGP as a tester.
Ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, Rins admitted he was tired after a long trip from India. Nevertheless, he remains enthusiastic. “This will be my last race here with a MotoGP bike, so I will enjoy it as much as possible,” he said. He also noted that the new asphalt will help with grip, even though Yamaha is still at a disadvantage.

Rins stressed that the team will give everything. “We try more than 100% in every race. This is Yamaha's home race; yesterday we visited Iwata and Hamamatsu, and everyone is very excited. But this is the bike, these are the weapons we have,” he explained.
Although his full-time career is ending, Rins has not ruled out a return as a test rider. “I will always be available. This year I finish my MotoGP career, but if someone called me mid-season to ask if I want to ride a bike and race, I would definitely consider it,” he stressed. He also regretted not being given the chance to test the 850cc bike by Yamaha.
Over 10 seasons in MotoGP, Rins has scored 6 wins and 18 podiums. He achieved these results with Suzuki, Honda, and Yamaha. He is known as a humble rider who always gives maximum effort.
