Pedro Acosta may have finished fourth in the Aragon Sprint, but his path to that result nearly fell apart before the short race even began. The crucial moment happened on the grid as all riders were preparing, and Pedro Acosta became the center of attention with an unusual move.
After completing the warm-up lap, Acosta realized his bike had stopped slightly ahead of his designated grid slot. Without hesitation, he got off his KTM RC16 and pushed it back a bit to the left to correctly position it in sixth place. However, as he climbed back on, his right foot accidentally hit one of the aerodynamic wings, breaking it off.
This incident initially went unnoticed by the main cameras, but the front-facing footage clearly shows a piece of the bike lying on the asphalt when the lights went out. Fortunately, the riders behind him managed to avoid the debris, even though Acosta lost positions going into the first corner.

Fighting Back
The chaotic start dropped the Spanish rider further down the order. However, his race pace remained his greatest weapon. He quickly regained his rhythm and overtook several rivals one by one. As a result, he finished as the best rider behind the two Ducatis and one Aprilia.
This achievement further proves that Acosta is a serious threat to the championship leaders. Although his KTM is not yet fully competitive compared to the Italian factory bikes, his consistency and racing instincts keep him in advantageous positions. The grid incident may have briefly disrupted his focus, but it also highlighted his mental strength to stay on track.
With this result, Acosta adds valuable points to his championship tally and signals that he will be a strong contender in the main race. If his start goes smoothly this time, a podium finish is not out of the question. Fans are certainly looking forward to his performance on Sunday, hoping for no more drama on the grid.
