The 2027 season hasn't brought the seismic changes some expected, but there are still some interesting vacancies. Here's a look at the confirmed seats for F1 2027 so far.
Long-Term Deals at Top Teams
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have both inked long-term deals with McLaren that keep them at the team until at least the end of 2027, and for Piastri, the end of 2028. This gives McLaren rare stability in an era of regulatory change.
At Mercedes, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli were only confirmed for 2026 in October 2025, with no further announcement about 2027. However, The Race understands both drivers have multi-year contracts with options for extensions. So while not officially confirmed, there's little reason to believe the lineup will change.

Red Bull and Ferrari: One Certain, One Question Mark
Max Verstappen has extended his contract until 2030, while his 2026 teammate Isack Hadjar has no deal beyond this year. At Ferrari, Charles Leclerc signed a long-term extension in early 2024 and extended again this year, keeping him well beyond 2027. Lewis Hamilton is expected to stay for a third year.
Williams Solid, Others Still a Mystery
Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon have committed to Williams for 2027, announced ahead of the Dutch GP. Meanwhile, Racing Bulls remain unclear with Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad as the 2026 pairing, but no certainty for the following season.
Aston Martin has yet to reveal their 2027 lineup, with Fernando Alonso's contract expiring at the end of 2026 and Lance Stroll confirmed only through 2026. Haas is also in the dark, as Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman have no deals for 2027. Audi, now a full works team, remains a mystery despite Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto signing multi-year deals in 2024, but exact end dates are unknown.
At Alpine, Pierre Gasly is confirmed until 2028, but his teammate is yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Cadillac has secured Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas on multi-year deals starting 2026.
