The final round of the world championship at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto delivered intense action as Nicolo Bulega secured his 30th victory of the 2026 season. Although the Italian rider had already clinched the world title back in September at Cremona, his relentless pace at the Spanish venue underlined the absolute dominance of the Borgo Panigale machinery.
This dominant triumph in Race 1 extended Bulega's comfortable lead at the top of the riders' standings to 689 points. He currently holds a massive 155-point advantage over his teammate, Iker Lecuona, who continues to showcase strong consistency under the Aruba.it Racing Ducati structure.
Further down the order, the battle for the remaining podium positions in the championship standings provided plenty of talking points. Yari Montella of Barni Spark Racing officially locked down third place in the championship standings following a solid fourth-place finish in Race 1, despite sitting 233 points adrift of Lecuona.

Meanwhile, an intense intra-family rivalry unfolded for fourth position in the standings. Alex Lowes struggled to an eighth-place finish aboard his Bimota KB998, allowing his twin brother, Sam Lowes, to draw level on 245 points heading into the crucial Superpole Race.
The battle is far from over as Lorenzo Baldassarri remains a mathematical threat for that fourth spot. The Team Go Eleven rider trails the Lowes brothers by 22 points ahead of tomorrow's final two races of an unforgettable 2026 campaign.
